Everyone in this world is addicted to doing something and these actions are called hobbies. Hobbies are something that we do for recreation. These hobbies are rooted firmly down in our subconscious. Some hobbies are good for our health and some can boost it up. However, there are some certain habits in this world which, if implanted deep down our mind, can become food for our mind. Forming a new hobby is not an easy thing; it takes a lot of hard-work. One can establish a new hobby or habit through repeating doing it for a long period of time. The more we do the longer it stays in our mind. Below is list of some habits that can help us boost up the power of our minds.

1. Meditation
Meditation has been proven to be the most effective way to control our emotions and feelings through helping us focus on ourselves and improving the knowledge of self.

2. Working out
Physical exercise keeps the mind fresh by allowing the brain to get enough oxygen. Exercising has also been proven to reduce tension and relieve us of anxiety.

3. Playing a musical instrument
Playing one or more musical instruments needs a great deal of concentration. So, playing one regularly can help the mind improve its capacity to concentrate on things. Music also has the ability to improve our mood.

4. Reading
This is the ultimate food for thought. It is the best way to enhance our concentration levels and to reduce stress. Another benefit of reading is it allows to attain more knowledge.

5. Yoga
With its origin in India, yoga has various benefits. Practicing Yoga regularly can improve flexibility,fitness, institution, inner peace and immunity. It can also provide relief from stress and anxiety.

6. Learning a new language
This is one of the best ways to one’s keeping mind healthy. Learning a new language prompts one o use their analyzing abilities, which helps our brain to stay fit.

7. Sports
Apart from working out, developing the habit of playing out door games can increase brain function and can also build confidence

8. Chess
Playing Chess can benefit the mind in so many ways; it can improve our memory and problem-solving skills. It can also improve our IQ and help prevent Alzheimer’s.

9. Writing
After Reading, Writing is the best food for thought. Writing every day can increase our learning comprehension, improve creativity and slow down our mental aging.
